Now in funds of the museum it is kept nearly 50 thousand subjects, various collections have formed.
Among them:
the ethnographic collection including subjects from birch, timber, bone, metal, fabric (more than 1300 subjects);
the archeologic collection describing development of life in the Far East since an epoch of mesolite till the Middle Ages (more than 6 thousand exhibits);
natural historic collection, allowing imagining the unique Far Eastern nature.
Herbariums, taxidermic sculptures, soil monoliths, etc. (about 2 thousand subjects
Graphic sources to which works of art (more than 40 subjects) concern, photo and negative fund (about 8 thousand subjects), posters (about 600 subjects);
documentary fund (20 thousand subjects);
Documents on construction of Komsomolsk-on-Amur in 1930th , being gold fund of the museum.
Now in halls of the museum the exposition opened on June, 12th, 1993 functions. The art project of the museum was headed by Khabarovsk artist Suchkov Alexander Aleksandrovich. The scientific concept was created by scientific employees of the museum. The subjects of an exposition extends: to two former departments it was added three more. New departments are: “The Most ancient past at the territory of Komsomolsk area”, “Nanaians - aborigins of Priamurye”, “Settling and development of the Low Amur by Russian people in the middle 19th - beginning of the 20th century”.
